Santry Community Garden

Sunrise at Santry Community Garden

Santry CG is a well established, diverse 4 acre walled garden situated in the Santry Demesne public park.

For over ten years it’s been a wonderful amenity for the whole community. With over 100 volunteer members, the garden boasts a productive kitchen garden teeming with fruit, herbs and vegetables, a heritage orchard of over 400 trees (which includes the UCD Heritage Apple collection) and a beautiful ornamental garden with stunning herbaceous borders and a pond.

The garden has two polytunnels, sheds, a wildlife garden, solar energy and that all important R&R area for tea breaks and barbeques (at all times complying with govt guidelines with regard to Covid-19).

All our members learn how to grow their own food and we garden in as sustainable and environmentally friendly way as possible. Tea, training and tools are provided with lots of support for beginners but plenty of challenges for the experienced gardener too.

We’re open four times a week: 2-4pm Weds and Fri, 11-1pm Sat and Sunday. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Location:

At the back of Santry Demesne Public Park in the heart of Santry Village in North Dublin.
