Allotment holders are hoping restrictions are lifted and they are allowed to return to their plots on May 18th.
Following tightened Covid-19 restrictions at the end of March, local authorities locked the gates of allotments and community gardens. Members haven’t been able to do basic maintenance work, like watering and weeding. Neither they have had a chance to sow new seeds.
There are a few exceptions, but there is no consistency between local authorities.
